About the Company

Do you want a central role in an organization that makes a real difference for people's futures? Värmdö Municipality is now seeking an administrator for the Adult Education Unit – a socially important operation where structure, service, and collaboration are in focus.

With us, you will work in a varied and developing role with many points of contact, modern digital tools, and an engaged team that willingly shares knowledge and supports each other. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, service-oriented, and communicative, and who thrives with responsibility in a dynamic everyday environment.

Your Responsibilities

As an administrator with us, you will become a key person in the work with adult education in Värmdö. You will work closely with colleagues, students, educational providers, and authorities, contributing to the effective and legally secure functioning of the operation.

The work is linked to public authority functions and requires both good system familiarity and an understanding of the regulations governing adult education. You will handle student administration for the entire municipal adult education system, primarily in the student administrative system Alvis, and provide qualified service through various channels.

In this role, you will, among other things:

  • Coordinate and provide daily service to students, colleagues, and authorized educational providers via email, phone, and chat
  • Work with student administration and admission processes within adult education
  • Handle mail, orders, archiving, and office schedules
  • Issue grades and certificates
  • Communicate with schools, municipalities, and educational authorities on various matters
  • Administer and update the organization's website
  • Review course offerings from authorized educational providers

You will work both independently with your own areas of responsibility and closely with colleagues in a team.

Your Profile

To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you are a structured and meticulous person who finds it easy to plan your work and meet deadlines, even when the workload varies. You work service-oriented and professionally in your interactions with students, colleagues, and external actors, and you have a good ability to adapt your communication to the recipient and situation.

You are solution-oriented and confident that there are not always ready-made routines for every case. When new or complex issues arise, you take responsibility for finding the right information, interpreting regulations, and finding sustainable solutions, always with legal security and quality in focus. At the same time, you value collaboration and are happy to share knowledge while also being willing to ask for support when needed.

You thrive in a role where you switch between independent work and close collaboration in a team, and where everyday life often involves managing several parallel tasks. With a curious and development-oriented approach, you contribute to improving work methods and routines as the organization and the world around it change.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed or ongoing academic education that the employer deems relevant
  • At least two years of experience working in adult education, either public or private
  • Experience with student administrative systems, preferably Alvis
  • Good digital competence and ease in learning new systems
  • Excellent ability to communicate professionally in both spoken and written Swedish, as well as good English
